  I’ve had the FIXD sensor and app for almost a year now. I definitely doesn’t replace my stand alone sensor but it’s useful for on the go scans and logging maintenance and repairs you’ve done. The reason it’s not five stars is because the app has been crashing ever 2mins since the new app iOS came out and no fix has been released yet.

  Waisted my money on this. I even paid for a month after I received it. It does tell what problem in engine is, but nothing past that. I clicked for a serviceman, and it wanted me to pay a second time, so I cancelled the subscription.

  I don’t like the battery test tool. It does not indicate that my battery is new. I just installed a new battery today, drove around for a few miles and cane back to test. It shows “Caution”? Why? It’s brand new. May just be something with the programming but it’s the only thing I have to gripe about. It also makes me question if the battery tool was accurate to begin with! App is great at everything else.

  Wow I was freaking out all the time and money I put into this 2002 Nissan Maxima se 3.5, to get it running right only 66.000 miles i didn’t want to take this intake manifold off pain in a..I restarted my FIXD subscription and went out today put it on and low and behold it turned out to be a bad coil that I just purchased with plugs I was able to get hand behind the intake manifold # 5 it was bought a new coil 77$ this system reader is great and saved me $$$$ thanks and a recommendation.

  I bought 3 of these several months ago to install in each of my vehicles. I just installed Fixd I’m my vehicle that was showing a “Check engine” light, and wouldn’t you know it, it says 1 issue found (duh) but get this..... “Unknown Issue” !!!! REALLY!!! Why am I always the sucker?!

  As a useful tool this was marginal to begin with. A bunch of reminders suggesting possible maintenance intervals. The two times I had a check engine light, this sensor was way off in diagnosing the problem. NOW unless you pay a subscription, it’s completely useless. Wave of the future - buy a product only to be stuck repeatedly paying for the SAME product in perpetuity.

  I’ve used FIXD, I’d say “off and on” but mostly “off” for a while now. The mostly “off” part is because it’s been nothing but problems, on 3 totally different cars, with multiple scanners. After they switched the “Premium” service, I even paid for the year in hopes it would get better, now it’s worse. I got maybe two scans in, now now it will not connect to my phone or iPad. I’m an IT person, so I’ve done all of the troubleshooting I can. I constantly get the message, “FIXD not supported”. Awesome. So glad I could fund you guys on your way to not being FIXD. I guess I’ll be going with someone else. I’m over it.

  I always enjoyed working on anything especially my own car/trucks. As cars got smarter I got dumber, not clinically proven but I can’t read a cars digital brain. Alas, FIXD has that ability. Save $50 for a general checkup when you own several cars definitely adds up and it breaks fine everything. Definitely worth the investment.

  So I am 0 for 2 on getting this to help me, so I’m done with my new paper weight. FIXD Support replied to my last review saying they would help me read my log files because the app wouldn’t read my transmission errors... then when I sent them a support case (like they told me to) I got the runaround on the first reply and after I copy / pasted the response to my review they did a 180 and told me the device doesn’t read transmission codes and other errors, only Check Engine Light codes - you know the ones you can get read for free at any autozone... geez guys, thanks for the jerk off... not worth the time or money... just goto autozone and don’t waste time with this

  Got the FIXD for each family member (with no car issues at the time). My car was the first to have the break light go on after about 1 mile into any journey and stays on for 20 minutes or so. The car died when I left my keys in the ignition. Jump started it and put the FIXD to work. Got a ‘clean bill of health’!!!! We had the battery checked elsewhere, it was dead... Will have to take the car in to see about the brake light.....

  I purchased this when I saw gauges and diagnostics on the advertisement, you need to pay an annual/monthly fee to get them. And now I switched IPhones and can’t get the app from the cloud or in the App Store for free now I have to pay for something that was promised for free.

  This app is unbearable. It uses none of the native iOS design infrastructure causing it to be hideous and clunky, and it's constantly cramming a subscription service down your throat despite having already given money to the developers by buying the hardware. Much of the most basic functionality is poorly implemented or laid out, also. Had I checked the app out before buying a FIXD, I would have steered clear. I really want to like this app/product, but they're making it so hard.

  I don’t have any lights and am passing emissions. My car is a 2006 with 170,000. Just has a lot of updates but I would rather they be on top of stuff than once a year and it cause everything to screw up for who knows how long. It has worked for me every time I have scanned. I’m going on a year now. 4 stars cause I don’t know if it’s helping or now. All I know is I haven’t had any issues sense I got it.

  I just have one important fact the company left out purposefully to rope the unsuspecting customers into getting more money from you and that is the unit doesn’t work unless you buy the subscription for another $60. I wouldn’t have got unit if I knew that ahead of time. It’s dishonest and disingenuous to advertise one thing and provide everything as advertised.This should be made very clear at the beginning, not an afterthought.

  The app works well, but it’s execution is sometimes hit or miss.The daily, and I mean daily bug that I encounter is while the app is either running in the background or being used continually asks me to log into my iTunes account...Aside from this, overall, it’s great! Certainly, describe and give you as much information as I can.I Purchased the device and downloaded the app at the start of September. I purchased two of them for two vehicles. I set up the app via the instructions for vehicle A (Honda) on my device (iPhone X). It was running the final version of iOS 12. I have since upgraded to the most recent iOS. I then changed the connection to that device to my fiancé’s phone (iPhone 8), and paired it because she would be driving it and checking it more often than myself. I wasn’t sure if you could do dual connections for one device. She has not updated to the new iOS and is running the last version of iOS 12.I then installed the other device in vehicle B (Nissan) via following the instructions.It tends to prompt the login when we start our respective vehicles. Sometimes I’ll get random ones while not driving. The only pattern I can see is when I start vehicle B and it will ask me to log in.I’ll update with more information if I observe different behavior.Thanks for your help!

  Spent five minutes setting it up and 45 minutes trying to figure it out. Added in my car but it doesn’t see to register. Easier to bring my car to the shop rather than figur this thing out.Also beware, I accidentally signed up for a $60 yearly subscription because it asks you every step of the way.Luckily I have a Toyota and shouldn’t need it!

  The very first time I set it up it worked (won’t get into all the upsells). But now it refuses to pair. Says “not compatible” but the app page says requires iOS 12.4 or later. iPhone 7s 12.4.1 not compatible. iPhone 8+ iOS 13.1 not compatible. Returning to Amazon.

  Sells you to a network whether code is correct or not. Also doesn’t clear codes as stated it’s supposed to. My Mom bought it for me as a gift and I never tried it until today 9/18/2019, however, it just wants to send me to a fixd mechanic. Bravo on the creating an ecosystem, but I’m not interested.

I have a new throttle body, the Subaru mechanic specialist for this model year, on the rebuilt engine.It wasn't that, so I looked at the air filter.It was that, so I put in a new air filter...problem solved.The idle, however, is screwed up.This happens ONLY when I use the FIXD device.No, it isn't something else: new OEM header, new full OEM exhaust system with two new OEM CATs and two new Bosche OEM O2 sensors and new OEM muffler. The vehicle had been at a 'salvage yard'.I purchased it, because the engine is a rebuild.2. There is no way to tell the app the odometer does not indicate it needs major mechanical maintenance.It has a rebuilt engine.
